How much does it cost to take a course?

All courses are free.

What is Moodle?

Moodle (acronym for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) is a free software e-learning software platform, also known as a Learning Management System (LMS). Tens of thousands of schools and colleges around the world use this platform for their online education needs.

What is the course format?

Most courses feature a weekly format with each week being a self-contained module. Depending on the contents of a weekly module, there may be lessons, reading materials, quizzes, discussion forums, assignments.

How do I enroll in a course?
If you are new to this site, please be advised that enrolling in a course is a two-step process. You can consult the How to Enroll page for more instructions.

How do I withdraw from a course?
When you log in to the course you enrolled, notice there is an "Admistration" section, where you can find a link that says "unenroll me from...," click that link and follow instructions.

Can I take the course at a time that's convenient for me or are times fixed?

The courses are all asynchronous courses, meaning there's no fixed meeting times and each student learns at his or her own pace, at a time that is convenient for them.

What if I don’t do my work?

Whether or not you do the work is completely up to you. Although it'll be a more satisfying learning experience if you work on the assignments or exercises, we believe that people can also "learn" - to some extent - by watching how other people do the work.

Can I join a class if it has already started? Can I enroll late?

Yes, you can join a class even if it has already started, as long as there is space still open in the course. It is your responsibility to read the syllabus and catch up with the work of the class.

Can we have a dedicated session for our organization (school, nonprofit, company)?

Yes. If your organization is interested in a subject, we can arrange for a separate,  invitation-only session so that only members of your organization can enroll.

Do you have certificate of completion?

Yes. Most courses will issue a certificate to participants who satisfactorily complete the course. A certificate looks similar to the one below:
